Designing and making clothes is way easier said than done, so when I successfully made my first garment, for an assignment in school, I jumped at the chance to show it off. This dress, although not designed by me, was the first successful garment that I constructed by hand. And by hand I do mean picking out the fabric, lengthening the hem on the pattern, cutting out the fabric on the pattern and sewing it together. This is the perfect dress for a day in the office and can be paired with cardigan sweaters or shirts worn under for a more modest look.. If I could change anything about this dress, I would add sleeves to the pattern, so I can avoid the arm struggle lol otherwise, it's perfect!
